News report on the 1/20/2010 hearing by the Massachusetts Joint Committee on Health Care Finance on the Cape Care Community Health Trust legislation.
The Cape Care Coalition thanks the 71% of voters on the Cape and the islands who supported the ballot question to establish health care as a human right by creating a single payer health insurance system that is comprehensive, cost effective and publicly provided to all residents of Massachusetts. This nonbinding question also passed overwhelmingly in every district in Massachusetts where it appeared on the ballot.
